We can use a blog to contact our book club and to post book reviews and to encourage responses from our students.

I wish I had given the idea more thought before I posted my comment about how I might use a blog. You can read other blogs to get great ideas about teaching techniques. You can learn about books and how to manage book clubs. I'd love to use my blog to inform students about new books in our library...also push those books that are great but students haven't been checking out. I've initially been resistant to the idea of blogs because, really, could something be more egocentric? But it is a truly wonderful way to communicate and if you recruit your blogging community, it sure is an easy way to get the word out! My problem is still finding time to blog during any time of the day!
